Over the past three decades or
so, Jim Nelson has worked on both sides of the microphone at radio
stations like KLOS, KTWV and KWST Los Angeles and KCAL-FM San
Bernardino; he’s been a corporate VP, a magazine and web site editor,
and a director, writer and producer of syndicated radio shows
(Rockline, PowerCuts and In The Studio). He’s
also been a freelance music writer since 1990, with bylines in
Paste, Performing Songwriter, RIP, Request and others.
Nelson began compiling monthly
music samplers in 1992 for The Album Network, and though he’s done them for various
companies over the years, every one has been mastered by Stu Jacobs or
Jim Jacob at Mr. Master.
Natalie English at NME
Graphics has done all of the graphic design for the samplers since
2001.
